Join 724 Press Collective and Texana Café for an inspiring day of storytelling, poetry, music, and literature—where creativity becomes a tool for connection, healing, and community care.
This collaborative event creates an accessible, welcoming space that uplifts diverse voices and fosters belonging through artistic expression. Proceeds from the café directly support neurodivergent individuals learn essential employment skills in an internship experience who then go on to secure permanent employment. The café is part of Texana Center, a nonprofit local community center that provides behavioral health services throughout Fort Bend, Austin, Colorado, Matagorda, Waller, and Wharton counties. This is a family-friendly event!

What better way to come down from a poetry-slammed night than a gentle walk-and-write through Austin’s city spaces? We’ll begin at the famous I Love You So Much Mural on South Congress then end at the famed Congress Ave Bridge — home to the largest urban bat colony in North America — to continue writing prompts and watch the bats take flight.
Led by local creatives and nature lovers, this walking tour invites you to slow down, observe, and write. Prompts provided, but the path is yours to interpret. Bring water, walking shoes, and something to write with.

This guided walk begins on South Congress and ends at the bat viewing area near the South Congress Bridge. Along the way, we’ll stop at two murals for creative prompts, conversations, and photo ops — finishing just in time for the bats to make their nightly flight.

Step into the shadows and into the mic at Sonnets After Sundown: The Bat City Slam, a nocturnal open mic and night market hosted at one of Austin’s iconic coffee shops.
From 10:00–11:00 p.m., sip something strong and shop from local vendors, creators, and witchy wares. From 11:00–12:00 a.m., the mic opens for poetry, storytelling, and spontaneous sonic magic. The night culminates in a closing hour of community, connection, and maybe a little caffeine-fueled chaos.
